The Army Beyond Death
More than any other race, humans are adaptable to almost any situation. This shows not only in the proliferation of humans across all walks of life, but also in their ability to interbreed with other species, their compatibility with demons, which led to the creation of the Tieflings, and their innate ambition.
Humans are valued in society for their drive and passion, often pushing forward projects and plans at accelerated rates. Humans tend to work well with all the other races, as they have a knack for understanding and being able to utilise the strengths of others.
On the downside, humans aren’t long-lived, and their ambition can lead to selfishness more readily than most races. In his seminal work ‘Treatise on the Characteristics of the Living Races’, Elven scholar Paelias Liadon famously said “were all the races gifted with the raw ambition of the human-kind, then we would either have destroyed the undead or ourselves years ago, though I am not sure which is more likely”.
